Rockwell

This series was created when I returned to the United States from Cuba to give birth to my daughter. My life changes and a nostalgia for home prompted me to revisit the works of Norman Rockwell. The narratives in his work embodied a sickly sweet but comforting version of the American experience that inspired my vignettes of contemporary life. Through this series I aimed to create a storybook presentation of the world that was waiting for my daughter.
