We came up with a challenge. Finish the projects so that we can list them on Etsy. Now we are so delusional as to imagine we make successful projects every time- so with the listing of an item we also selected a charity to which the profit would go.

All of these great concepts collected in one place I realized that I had not spent a whole lot of time actually doing any of these things. Thus was born the idea of the first four purge. I decided to pick one of these boards and actually do the first four pins I had there.

My mother had go antiquing recently and found these small crystals that had once been apart of a light fixture. I had asked her to keep an eye out for prisms and this was a jackpot with about 10 individual crystals drilled to hang. So I gathered up the tools to create a beaded sun catcher.

This past Christmas me and the kiddos received a Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Official Baking Cookbook. The girls are obsessed with the movie and are now fanatic about our occasional weekend baking projects. We have made quite a few and these are the lessons we have learned using this book.

For years I wanted to have a food garden. Growing up in New Mexico, that was not realistic. Moving to Tennessee the world became my gardening oyster. I started out small, herds, tomatoes and amazingly these pants did not die instantly.

There is a continuous battle in my household regarding dog toys. We have a 60 pound Labrador Pitt mix who is just a little over a year old. As you can imagine he loves to chew and he is actually pretty good about not chewing things he isn’t supposed to which is really remarkable.

For baby number three, I decided to go ahead and throw my own baby shower. They say that you really only have a shower for the first kiddo, but what the heck. This being my first boy I went with a Little Prince theme and part of that was in my take on a guest book for the party. Instead of a name or a message I was going to use guest doodles to commemorate the party.

I am a big fan of the capsule wardrobe concept. I have never had much imagination when it comes to dressing myself, so when I see these closets presented as simple math equations in which you can’t have a wrong answer I get very excited.

Since creating the space, I find myself also creating the time to meditate. I strongly encourage anyone who is looking to practice more regularly to find a place that is set aside for just that. It is amazing how it can just call to you through out the day and you find that you want to stop and rest in that place.
